Cheat.

Pants, again! I know, right? What on earth has gotten into me? I'm kidding, these photos were actually taken a couple weeks ago. Sorry. Bit of cheating going on there, but ah well this is my blog so you'll just have to like it or lump it.

I wore this when the weather wasn't being too great a couple weeks back. Also, the day I'd got  my hair cut but it rained as soon as I'd come out of the hairdressers hence the ponytail. I love this jumper so much, it was a charity shop find on my mums part and it is so warm despite being a bit holey. The shirt was a hand me down from my mum's wardrobe and is my most favourite shirt ever, so much so that there's holes in the left shoulder and a stain on the breast pocket. And you know what? I still love it.

Shirt: Hand Me Down
Jeans: Primark

Necklace: Present from Ross

Not really got a right lot to chat about in all honesty. I've just been burying my head in revision as I've only got just over a week until my first one. Eep! Anyone doing A level psychology please hit me up with some revision techniques. Cos man there is no way I'm going to be able to remember all those god damn studies. And I'm resitting the previous paper. Goddamnit why am I a failure?

Also, today I had my last every French lesson so my lovely teacher and french assistant brought in juice and little cupcakes for us. Can I hear an 'aww'? We also watched a french film called 'Le Petit Nicolas' which was sweet, I just wanted to take the little boy home he was so blooming cute.

It's odd to think that this really is going to be the end of an era for me. A little scary when you think about it. Everything I am familiar with now will no longer be part of my everyday life. It's sad but also exciting, like finishing a book and having to wait for the next one in the series to come out. I can't tell yet if I'm going to like the next book or not but I suppose the only way to tell is to carry on reading.

And on that note:

Because the Commodores will forever remind me of French lessons.

I Like A Boy With A Tache.

I've always liked moustaches. On men that is. I suppose you could argue that I'm a little in awe of them. Maybe awe isn't the right word. Fascinated perhaps. I reckon there's a bit of jealousy in there too, I wish I could have a tache then I would stroke it all day long whilst I pondered about the secrets of the universe. I'm kidding. I'm not intellectual enough to ponder about the universe.

 Top: Charity Shop
Jeans: Hand me downs (River Island)
Mustache: Stolen!

Just in case you were wondering, no I did not go out wearing the moustache. It was left over from our year 13 leaving day. Our theme was 80's/ disco which I thought was a bit pants (pirates all the way) that was until I saw some of the guys dressed in afros and fake mustaches such as this one. One guy was even sporting some fake chest hair! Anyway, I had an exam that day and found this moustache just hanging around so I nabbed it. It made my french exam more amusing as I stuck it onto my water bottle so I wouldn't lose it.

*Me trying to do a 'sexy' pose*

I thought it would be funny to try a 'sexy' pose. Or at least a very feminine one to combat the moustache. I'm not sure if it's funny in the way that I intended but I still look like a dick lol.

This is an outfit that I wore yesterday to school. And oh my gosh I'm wearing pants. If you knew me in real life you would know that I NEVER wear pants. Well rarely. There's a running...joke? (yeah lets call it a joke) that I don't wear pants and everyone always tells me to put my bum away. But I just don't like wearing them. I like to be able to cross my legs and not have restraining denim in the way. These ones are alright as they're a boyfriend fit and so are quite baggy. But skinny jeans? Argh, no! Please tell me I'm not alone with this. Else I'm going to feel like a right banana for posting it on the internet.

Anyway, I do like this outfit. I reckon I just need a cap and I'd look like I was about to play a game of baseball. I can't play for shit, but I'd look the part.

Also thank you again to everyone who reads/follows/comments. You're all great.

Because it was the first thing that came up on my Ipod.

Here Comes The Sun.

Hello there guys, hope you're all enjoying the sun whilst it lasts. I've heard there's rain on the way. Boo! This is an outfit I wore yesterday when me and Ross went for a little picnic in the park to enjoy the sun. I believe this is the first time I have gotten my legs out this year. Since the sun came out I've been living in maxi skirts but it just got to a point where it was just too god damn hot.

Though I do hope the weather holds out just for a while longer. Me and Daisy are planning a collaboration soon and I was planning on venturing into my garden to take some pictures. We're going for a Jubilee theme so watch out for that!

I was also planning on throwing a little garden party in celebration for the Jubilee, I just hope it doesn't rain! Of course I'll be sharing it with you all and perhaps showing you how I'm going to do/make a few things. I'm really looking forward to it.

Body: River Island
Shorts: Hand me down
Belt: Vintage
Sunglasses: Primark

I got ready at my friend's house for prom on Friday but I left literally all my make-up and my creepers... and some clothes... and my hair brush...and my fave bra. I pretty much left everything! So I've been going sans le maquillage for a couple days but my skin is so bad I don't know what I'm gonna do about school tomorrow. I'll have to raid my old makeup bags for something.

Or wear a paper bag over my head.

*My cat being a cutie*

*Mine and Ross' s picnic, consisting of ale, jelly beans and humus*

That's it from me for now. So here's a bit of the Beatles:

It's Been Hectic!

Apologies for being absent, my life has been so hectic lately. My mum broke her arm on Saturday at the 1940's weekend and went into hospital for surgery on Wednesday but they didn't operate till the next day. So I've been filling her shoes and playing general house keeper for the past week or so. Not only that but I had an exam yesterday as well as prom (I'll post about it later) so I really haven't had time to be taking pictures.

Anyway, enough of a sob story! Here is an outfit I wore to school earlier in the week. I got told I look 'eccentric' and my mum said I looked silly. At the time I thought 'nah, I look ok' but on reflection I'm not too sure. I thought I'd post it anyway as even fashion bloggers like me (lolololol) don't get it right. I'm experimenting with my style more than ever right now so I'm bound to look like a dick at some point or another. But that's ok because at least I tired it. So I would love to encourage you to all be more experimental with your style and if you get it wrong, you get it wrong. At the end of the day they're just clothes.

T-Shirt: Boyfriend's
Belt: Vintage
Skirt: DIY

 Cycling Shorts/ Leggings: DIY

Although this outfit isn't great I am rather proud of the skirt. It's made out of a large piece of fabric we had lying around which I just sewed onto a length of elastic. However, the elastic did lose a bit of its stretchiness so its a bit big on me, woops. Also, my legs aren't actually that colour, I was wearing tight to 'test' them out for prom but I didn't even end up wearing them as it was so god damn hot!

I reckon that's all you're gonna get out of me today. I've got a few jobs to do as well as revision before heading off for a picnic with Ross.

I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone who reads my posts and comments. Also to any new followers. You really are all so lovely!

Because Marina is lovely too.

Jeepers Creepers.

Now I know what you're gonna say "woah there Safiya where's all your bloody hair gone?" Though it is more likely that you weren't actually going to say that at all. Nevertheless, yes I have had a hair cut. And I never get my hair cut. Until now I hadn't had my hair cut for 2 years. Ouch.

The thing is I really dislike people touching my hair, I don't mind if its Ross but otherwise nope, hate people touching my hair. I reckon its after having my older sister insist on 'doing' it which meant frying it ridiculously with the hair straighteners when we were younger. She even cut it once when I was 13. Very badly I might add.

 Shirt: Charity Shop
Cardigan: Hand me down (hence the holes!)
Skirt: Primark
Belt: Vintage

*Why do my feet look so tiny?*

Creepers: Ebay

Yeah as you can see my creepers finally came! Woop. Took their sweet time getting here too. They only cost me around 27 pounds with postage which I thought was great. Though I cant find the exact link to them on Ebay as the seller doesn't have them anymore, so here's an alternative.

I must say, however, that when I first unwrapped them the sole was much bigger than I had expected. But if anything it makes me love them more. I can now say that I stand at a not-so-staggering 5ft 4inches and a half. The half is very important. And they are so comfortable to walk in, I feel as though I am walking on air.

Anyway, I reckon that's enough from me. So I shall leave you with this whilst I go grab a cold drink and enjoy the sunshine:

Because my friend was playing it whilst she was driving me home.

We'll Meet Again.

Hello everyone, hope you all had a great weekend as I had a fabulous one. Yesterday me and my friend Josie went to a 1940s weekend in a village near where we live and we had a great time! We both dressed up, me as a land girl (as you can see below) and she as a rather glamorous lady who lunches. We must have looked quite the part as quite a few people were asking us for pictures which was a little odd but great all the same.

Dungarees; Ebay
Shirt: God knows, primary school one probs
Scarf: Charity Shop
Jacket: Don't know
Shoes: Mum's

*Oh I am an idiot sometimes*

 *These people looked so good*

We had a great day walking around and having a nosy round the stalls and shops. Bloody expensive mind. We watched a lady sing we'll meet again by Vera Lynn before heading to the pub for a drink and watching the parade go past. We then got a burger and sat on a bench munching away, which was fine until a great many people began taking pictures of us in our outfits. I can't promise that there wont be an awful shot of me with a mouth full of burger on some poor persons camera. I am not the most elegant of eaters.

So if I am on your camera looking ugly, I am sorry.

On that note I better start some revision as these exams aint gonna pass themselves. Would be bloody great if they did though.

Because this makes me want to step back in time.

xx

Also, thank you for all your lovely comments, I read and reply to every single one.

Exogenesis.

Hello there, hope you're all having a fab Thursday. In all honesty this week has been going so slow, I'm so glad It's Friday tomorrow.

Anyhoo, this is an outfit I wore yesterday even though I was literally going into school for an exam. Yep, I had my French A2 speaking yesterday and I was bricking it. We had an external examiner come in and, well, she was a little eccentric to say the least. She kept interrupting me to ask another question but she was nodding a lot so I guess that's a good sign. Ah well, we shall see.

Back onto the outfit: I felt like wearing an item that I hadn't worn in a while, you know, get use out of what I've got and what not. I rediscovered this maxi skirt I bought a while ago from Topshop lurking in the bottom of my draw and decided to don the thing. I have only previously worn it once, once! - Terrible. Although, I feel a tad conscious of my rear end in it as the skirt is pretty figure hugging and I, well, don't have the smallest of bums. Hence the shirt around the waist.

Leopard Print Body: Ebay
Maxi Skirt: Topshop
Denim Waistcoat: DIY
Checked Shirt: H&M
Hat: Boyfriends

Owl Necklace: Boyfriend
Elephant Necklace: Ebay
Red Necklace: DIY

I'm eating one of these delicious things right now, they're so yummy. And only 90 odd pence from good ol' Tesco. Also, my boyfriend Ross would appreciate it if you'd take the time to fill out a music questionnaire for him about the relationship between music and memory for his music course. You can fill it out here. It's really simple and will take no time at all. Thank you if you do.

Right ho I reckon that's it from me. I'll leave you with this:

 Because Muse are awesome.

Rootless

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Or so I've been told. So here I am, with a post that has been a little overdue. But I'm still caught up in a clothes rut and I don't like it. Every morning when I look at my clothes it seems that everything I want to wear isn't there. It's as though I have a wardrobe in my head which doesn't match the one I have in reality.

That is until I remembered my dungarees. Oh, I just love 'em.

Dungarees: Ebay
Top: So old I'm ashamed.

*Still can't seem to get my camera to focus all the time, godamnit*

I reckon I just need to have a good wardrobe sort out and actually think about what's in there and what I need. Have any of you ever been in this situation? I'd like to think I'm not the only one. Also, I reckon I've had a bit of a style change as rewind a couple years ago and I was sporting brogues with floral skirts. Whereas now I want to be decking myself in foliage and running around bare foot. I'm kidding. But if it wasn't socially unacceptable, I totally would.

Because Marina is a babe.

Lumberjack.

Hello everyone. Sorry It's been a while but I honestly haven't been wearing anything worth documenting of late. Need to get my arse in gear.

Moving on, here is what I wore today, and as you can see I am sporting a rather dashing checked shirt which my brother got me for Christmas from a charity shop. He's learning well. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple by teaming the shirt with a plain white T-shirt and denim shorts for an easy casual look.

 Shirt: Charity Shop
T-shirt: Stolen from friend
Denim Shorts: DIY
Big Elephant Necklace: Ebay
Little Elephant Necklace: Mum's
Long Red Necklace: DIY

*Yet another pirate pose for your entertainment*

Not sure If you can really see it or not (note to self: take detail shots) but I made the red necklace myself using a broken keyring my boyfriend got back from Turkey and some red cotton. Now let me tell you plaiting that red cotton together was the worst idea I have ever had, took blooming ages. So I've decided to order some leather cord off Ebay when my funds allow it so I can have a go at making my own jewelery and sharing it with all of you, of course. So watch this space.

Also, my yoga DVD came in the post, woo!

Because my friend said Frank Turner was a babe, and I couldn't agree more.

Invading Space.

Good morning. This is an outfit I wore yesterday when me and a couple friends went into town for some lunch and light shopping. By light shopping I mean makeup and golden bears from Poundland. Not only that but I got a free mascara as I spent over 9.99 on Rimmel make-up. Score.

I am such a cheapskate.

 Top: Stolen from the Boyfriend
Skirt: Primark
Belt: Primark

This has to be one of my all time favourite skirts as it pretty much goes with anything. And if not, I force it to. The quality of it is also rather good as seeing as it's from Primark I half expected it to shrivel as soon as I washed it, but it's been great. Ok, I'll stop raving about the bloody skirt, look at my t-shirt though.

Now contrary to what people will think when they see me wearing this top I am actually pretty pants at space invaders. Always was. But give me a game of Bejeweled and I am away. Bloody love Bejeweled.

Anyway, I really should crack on with some essays and revision. I have another french speaking in ten days. Damnit.

Because, yes, it would be really nice.

xx

Je ne sais pas.

I have my french speaking re-sit tomorrow morning. Let's just say I'm a little nervous. I don't know why though as I did it last year and my french is much better now, well I hope it is. I guess I just don't want to get a D, again.

French aside, this is what I wore on Tuesday (sorry I'm a bit late with posting atm) as I was having a fat day so I opted for my maxi dress and a loose jumper. It was looking a bit dark so I popped one some bright red lipstick to cheer it up a bit. It still looks dark though. Nevermind.
 Dress: H&M
Shirt:Secondhand
Jumper: Secondhand
Necklace: Ebay

As I said earlier I have been feeling a tad chubby lately and I guess it's within reason as I have put on some weight and don't exercise nearly as much as I should. However, this is all about to change. I worked out yesterday and although aching today I'm gonna push on and work out tomorrow as-well and every other day henceforth. It's not just to loose the recent fat that I've put on, but to get fit too. I'd like to be toned, strong and healthy. I'm not going to weigh myself at all but measure myself instead as A) I don't have any working scales and B) I'd like to build muscle which weighs more than fat anyway.

I'm using getting another piercing as an incentive to keep going.

Because it's the eye of the tiger.
